Turntablists
these days are as common as nose picking. Scratching and Turntables are so
intertwined into everyday culture that it is hard to decipher if you are
watching a McDonalds commercial or a Grand Master Flash documentary. From NY to Brisbane, Champs Elysee to Tokyo, vinyl culture has infiltrated
every backpackin, Fidel Castro hat wearin hipster?s mind. With all this
saturation it is hard to tell if you are talkin to the next Babu or just
some mindless wannabe. Enter Tyra From Saigon?s elusive style. She can
compose, scratch, and last but definitely not least mix well. On first
sight you wouldn?t think that Tyra from Saigon holds the keys to the
turntable galaxy in her hands. Her ego lies far below the plains of Mars,
her real home, at least in the mind that is. But any aspiring DJ
(especially the guys) should take note: this girl will cut your crab
cramped style to pieces and leave it in the scrap pile at the nearest Red
Lobster. |
